It makes me laugh sometimes when I watch the relationships that these characters have on TV. I wonder to myself, does anyone believe this crap? Now I know there's nothing funnier than the ever-present demon of a past stupid encounter (Ross ad Rachel's "We were on a break!!" schtick was funny all through Friends), but seriously, it's like no one in the movies, TV, or reality seems to ever learn from these stupid errors. Are most people born without that part of the brain that allows them to analyze situations a fourth-grader could figure out, or do they really enjoy getting shot down time after time like a fireworks display on the Fourth of July? I don't know, and I don't pretend to know everything there is to know about relationships (even less do I pretend to know for sure), but really, it seems to me that if people could pull their heads out of the ground for a second they could see that the mistakes they're making are ones they've made before a hundred times. Oh well, I guess if there's no hope for change amongst our species the best thing for me to do is sit back, relax, and enjoy the show.
